Biosketch Onkabetse Olorato Mpapho is a lecturer and social development practitioner with a Bachelor’s in Social Work, a Master’s in Educational Leadership, and a completed qualification in Industrial and Organisational Psychology. She has extensive experience in mental health, HIV/AIDS care, and psychosocial support, and has trained over 400 social workers across Botswana. Biosketch I am a peace and security expert with over a decade of experience leading locally driven peacebuilding initiatives across Africa. As Executive Director of the Peace and Conflict Transformation Initiative (PCTI), I develop context-specific strategies for sustainable peace. I consult on regional frameworks like the SADC Social Cohesion Strategy and the UN SDG Framework in Liberia. As a lecturer at Copperbelt University, I focus on women and youth peace and security and election governance. I am a Rotary Peace Fellow, UNESCO-APCEIU grantee, and FemWise-Africa member, committed to advancing peace through education, civic engagement, and policy innovation across local and continental levels.
